Sindumin is a Sub-District for Sipitang and it is the border town to Sarawak, Negara Brunei and Kalimantan, Indonesia. There are not much facilities yet in this small town, even the shops are not filled up.
The available facilities include a new ICQ which is the Immigration, Customs and Quarantine Centre, some flats for the government personnel, a school and SEDCO has just constructed an R&R (Rest & Relax) building for the tired traveller, just about 200 meters from the checkpoint/border.
The surrounding area is filled with padi fields and some villages before you reach Sipitang Town to the north and Lawas Town to the South and Temburong of Negara Brunei and Bandar Seri Begawan of Negara Brunei.
The closest airport is Lawas Airport which is about 45 minutes by road from the checkpoint serviced by a good road but this airport could only cater for small planes likes the Twin Otter to places in the Interior of Sarawak like Bekalalan and other areas.
