But Where Are The Prawns And Anchovies

There is a lot of activity at the Brunei Bay right in front of the town of Sipitang, but where is the industry that could be the signature product and industry for Sipitang? Instead you find them along the highway from Kimanis to Beaufort. Does this mean that the prawn and anchovies are exported? Where to? This is a food for thought for the local Sipitang leaders and communties.

The District Office could play a part on this aspect by putting up information on historical landmarks that could help in the promotion of historical tourism in the area.

The Legacy Of Hj Tengah Baguh

The late Hj Tengah Bagul left this building called TBB in Sipitang located at a strategic location to his children. The late Hj Tengah was one of the wealthiest man of his time that he succeeded in having his own building with his own name and the Jalan Rumah Rehat was formerly named after him. The formerly soldiers of the Australian Army had given him an appreciation letter for his help during the Japanese occupation. May his sould rest in peace. Alfatihah

Sipitang Town Is Undergoing Some Changes

Sipitang, the only town with a beach in Sabah right in the center of the town. It only needs some effort to clean up the area and some civic consciousness among the villagers especially the immigrants who are mainly the prawn trawlers operators.

The upgrading project of the seafront is about to be completed and visitors can enjoy the sea breeze during the late afternoon and evening.

The sunset and sunrise is even more magnificent.
